Sly Fox Phoenixville Pennsylvania Beer

A few weekends ago, Todd and I went with some friends to go check out the Sly Fox Bock Fest. We are big fans of craft beer so, any excuse to indulge is fine by us! They also have a goat race at the event as well, and they name that year’s maibock after the winning goat! We were there to cheer for Rockko Jr. and Crosby! And while they were not this year’s winners, we were still really popular when we were hanging out with them afterwards. Everyone wants to pet a goat, I guess!

We scored these awesome pint glasses and had a good time watching the Oompah band. There were german foods available and people walking around in lederhosen. Hanging out at the Sly Fox Bock Fest was definitely a fun way to spend an afternoon. There are a few videos of this year’s race around on the interwebs, I thought I would share the Sly Fox “trailer” as it gives you a better view of everything else that is going on too.


Currently Obsessing: British TV

I have shared before that I enjoy British television. Mentioning Doctor Who and Misfits in previous posts. Lately, Todd and I have been on a huge kick including, but not limited to the following shows.

Gavin and stacey tv series

You can blame this show for my use of the following terms and phrases: what’s occuring, tidy, cracking, and fair play. Sorry in advance. This show cracks me up. We have already watched the entire series and it was brilliant. I love the best friend roles of both Smithy and Nessa, played by the actual writers of the show.

this is england 86 cast

This is England
This started out as a film and there are currently 2 series of the television show, TIE ’86 and TIE ’88. I loved the movie and I think that the tv series definitely lives up to that. It always feels very real and I feel invested in all the characters. In the tv series we see the characters evolve. Woody, in particular, struggles with trying to find the balance of staying true to his skinhead routes and growing up.

Fresh Meat Cast

This show is about a bunch of college freshmen that first meet because they are living in the same off-campus housing. Normal college shenanigans ensue,  flat-mates sleep together, protests happen, lots of drinking… you know. Jack Whitehall stars in it and he is actually pretty hilarious. I have watched some of his stand up as well, funny stuff. Vod is most definitely my favorite character though. She is so bad ass it hurts.

We have been checking out a few other shows as well. Bad Education and Peep Show to name a couple. But we haven’t really watched too many episodes of those yet.

Life Lately: Moving On

Royersford Pennsylvania

Well, we are finally living in our new place in Royersford, Pennsylvania. It is exciting and sad all at the same time. We have lived in Bethlehem together for four years now and there are definitely some things that I will miss about the location. Although, now we have a whole new area of Pennsylvania to explore. I am pretty sure that I am going to know the entire eastern half of this state by heart soon!

The move went really smoothly, thanks to our wonderful family members that came to help with the heavy lifting! I really love our new apartment and once everything is out of cardboard boxes and in the proper place I will definitely be sharing some photos! For now I thought I would share a few photos I took on a quick morning walk.
