I haven’t really had a chance to bake in awhile. That fact really bums me out by the way. When I do have a chance to bake cookies are usually my first pick. Sugar cookies are one of my favorite variations and how can you make a sugar cookie better? Use these awesome cookie cutters! You can totally get your geek on and still get a tasty treat.
Warp Zone has just about every kind of cookie cutter you could want, from Doctor Who to Dr. Seuss. They are made on a 3d printer. For my bridal shower I received 2 sets, a Mario set and a Doctor Who set. I finally got to use them the other day and I was pretty pleased with the results. The trick is definitely in rolling out the cookie dough to just the right thickness.
I love this quote by Henry Rollins. I have been saying this to myself pretty much every day this week. I need it, a little reality based dose of PMA. The interview from which this quote comes from is a pretty good read as well. His statement about wanting to change things for the better and knowing that getting to the positive change may cause less than pleasant situations in the interim really echoes what I am dealing with at the moment.
I am pretty much your stereotypical tomboy. I will throw on a t-shirt and jeans and be ready to go. Needless to say I never thought that I would be sharing any outfit photos on this blog. Lately, I have been want to work on creating a style that reflects me and feels more grown up. Sharing photos of my outfits should be a good motivator to keep me from lapsing back to my old standbys.
Don’t get me wrong, I still plan on mixing in some of my favorite items, like my chucks & this leather jacket. So, I don’t think I will be sharing any outfits that are super fashion forward or anything (there are lots of bloggers that have that covered) just simple, everyday looks that speak to me. I think everyone should be able to dress well and feel good in what they wear. I know I have always struggled with this. Plus, it gives me more time to work on my goal of getting comfortable in front of the camera (a goal for this year)!

I have been a newlywed for a month now. It is still a little strange to say I am married, or that I am a wife or that Todd is my husband. Almost like it hasn’t really sunk in yet. The wedding was great (more on that later) and it ended in the best way possible. Me and some of my most favorite people on the dance floor dancing to this song. Our photographers snapped a great shot of it that I can not wait to frame! This song rings so true for us, while I have only known most of them for 10 years or so now, we are totally working on “20 year later & still running the show”!
Chase life. Get out there and live.
